Huge success for the vietnamese art section on the Christie’s spring auction at Hong-Kong !
Late may, I had the pleasure to work again with Christie’s as senior expert and deliver strong result on the vietnamese art section on the spring auction.
The 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Series on 26 May, totalling US$31,151,723, was led by Le Pho’s Nue (Nude, pictured up of this article), one of 17 works offered from the Tuan Pham Collection of Vietnamese art. Painted in Hanoi in 1931, Pho’s seminal work realised US$1,398,179, more than double its low estimate.
